I absolutely recommend this school. The teachers are great and the classes are really small, so Kheiron School of English was the perfect choice for me to improve my english. Oxford is a very beautiful city, which is another reason to attend classes in this school. I really enjoyed my time in Oxford!

I would highly recommend Kheiron School of English, either if you are interested in taking an official exam or if you just want to improve your English skills as they provide you with both types of lessons and they have a very wide timetable. Furthermore, teachers are amazing and their lessons are very entertaining, so not only will you learn English, but also you will do it in a fun way!

This is one of the best places to study in town. I had a great experience there. In my case, I took the CAE exam and with their help I passed it. Apart from my academic experience, I made great friends with whom not only I had wonderful times but also I learned so much and shared hours of study.If you just want to study and take an exam, well then just do it, this is the perfect place. All of the teachers are marvellous people willing to help you cope with any of your problems. If you're looking for a perfect school of English in Oxford, Kheiron is the best choice! All teachers are very kind, helpful and cheerful. And what about a tuition? This is engaging and entertaing as well as clearly explained. I really enjoyed every single lesson and what's more - I've improved my English extremely in a relatively short time. I took private lessons to prepare the Trinity ISE III exam (C1 level) with Poppy Shirlaw and I received my qualification last september. I am very grateful of Poppy for her teaching during these months. She was an outstanding teacher who always corrected my mistakes in the best way, she is also very hardworking and makes the most to approach every minute in the lessons. I really enjoyed the lessons with Poppy, the time flew whenever we were marking pieces of writing. Remarkable is the fact that I got Distinction in Speaking and that was thanks to Poppy who helped me a lot to improve my oral skills. I recommend this Academy without any hesitation to anyone who wants to improve his English!

Kheiron school more than lived up to my expectations. I have been learning English at the Kheiron School of English with Mrs. Poppy Shirlaw since October 2019 until today, and since March 2020, have been taking classes remotely (3 times per week via Zoom). I really do not have worthy words to describe how grateful I am to finally have found a very professional tutor like Mrs. Shirlaw. She has been tirelessly assisting me to enhance my academic writing to be more comprehensible and persuasive.Before meeting Mrs. Shirlaw, I was completely unfamiliar with essay and academic writing structure. Previously, I took numerous English classes with various tutors, but it was prodigal and wasteful. Some of these classes were even taken in countries where English language is the native language, however, they were unable to improve my English from a colloquial to an academic level.Learning English language in general is very important to me as I currently intent to apply to do a Master’s degree in the field of politics whether in the UK or in the USA. Therefore, having the ability to write essays where I can discuss vital topics and successfully illustrate both sides of any dispute was crucial.Mrs. Shirlaw, from the first class, could easily analyse the way how a student like me can best learn. She was the first one who told me that I am gifted with a photographic memory, and she motivated me to utilize it in my studying. She creatively designed my English course in a way that I can learn effectively using my strengths and potential. She also helped me to improve my critical thinking where I can present my viewpoint and at the same time, I can challenge my opinion in any given essay. She also helped me to prepare for my exams; IELTS, an International English language Testing System and GRE, Graduate Record Examinations, the latter of which is mainly required in the American universities.I have found the online classes just as effective as the in-person classes. Mrs. Shirlaw is always punctual, and she made efficient use of the class time to review my essays and allows me to correct my writing, which I found very effective. I really enjoy the English classes with Mrs. Shirlaw and I highly recommend her for those who want to scale up their English writing.

I have taken many classes with Mrs. Poppy Shirlaw, and she had taught me for a long time. When I started the online classes with her I told her that I would like to improve my IELTS score in a short time. Currently, not only have I improved my IELTS score, but also my English overall especially pronunciation and fluency, which improved significantly.Poppy`s classes have a convivial atmosphere and a lot of fun. Also, she is very positive, patient and helpful with a lot of care toward each person’s goal.As a learner, I have found her as a person very practical, respectful, flexible and straightforward. No matter what your level of learning or ability, she will be able to grasp new concepts and seed confidence in each learner to be able to use all the knowledge in real life. What I like about her the most is that she always explains the difficult grammar or sentences in a simplest way possible. I would highly recommend her as an English teacher.

If you are looking for a place to prepare for your C2 Proficiency Exam (CPE), look no further. Kheiron School of English in Oxford is the place. I had the good fortune to attend classes with the school's Principal, Ms Poppy Shirlaw, who is both an accomplished teacher and an amiable person. I found the classes very productive and relaxing at the same time. Learning with Poppy enabled me to build up enough confidence and skill to attempt the CPE exam - and pass it with flying colours.
